Do you know about Phases of Implementation? There are 5 phases in implementation.
1) Requirement gathering Phase
2)Blue Print Phase
3) Realization Phase
4) Test & Training Phase
5) Go live phase
Lets study all these phases in details but before this do you know the answer of following questions?

The process between these two known as Phases of implementation
Requirement Gathering Phase: In this phase, the basis consultant meets IT manager/IT head for a discussion about the IP address required for SAP Installation. During their visit, they open some of the port (Http 8080 https 443 smtp 25) in the firewall and check RTO(request time out). The IT manager also analyzes the speed they have it for download & Upload and the storage space need to be check and have a small meeting plan on DR Disaster Recovery and check with backup plans or third party tools which are used by them Redwood , Tivoli, Symantec backup solutions
Blue Print Phase: In this phase, the IT Manager puts all their collected documents in place and they prepare some PPT on their understandings. After that they prepare one master blue print for all modules and with all business processes. In this way, they designed everything business process in the form of PPT.
Realization Phase: In this phase the real work starts they put all ppt into real scenario’s , the consultant starts configuration on Dev systems. This phase is controlled by Project Manager’s who assign some task’s and time line to the consultant and do follow up with them. This phase will take much time then other phases ex:
Basis concerns:
a. The Project Manager will check hardware and ask for replacement of hardware
b. He will ask for new consultant after building quality server
c. He will understand the business process and make role matrix with the help of Functional Team
d. Need to work on pre-post steps of Quality server and create roles assigned to user
e. Support Team Members for all activities related to basis
f. Build Prd server with all pre-post steps create all prd users and create roles and assign them
g. Work with team in post go live support.
Training & Testing: The client will test all the processes regressively without missing a single Tab. All radio buttons total flow of the process checked by more than one user. If they found any issue they need get sorted out in this cycle. During the Training & Testing phase ,they need train all the persons about SAP and how to work in SAP from scratch.
What BASIS will do : He has built the Quality system well before the phase and do all pre — post steps in the system create all test user and working with roles also with the help of functional Team.
GoLive Phase: System goes live but here BASIS has to work more hours he has built the Prd
Built production server install the production server download the software from SMP install os then copy dumps to folder and start installation.. ECC CRM SCM PI XI then to all pre-post steps in the server
o Apply some patches recommended by SAP for some specific modules
o Create N number of users and create roles for them and test all roles with functional and assign to proper user then only handover system
o Then he check the TMS config and move all request from Qua to Prd
Post go-live support : Whole team has to work extended hours and the consultant will also learn many new things in this process with all new industry standards.
